The apartments of the Bonanova Aparthotel are located close to the campus of the Esade private university and IESE in Barcelona, as well as near major health care institutions such as the Valencian Institute of Infertility, the Ocular Microsurgery Institute of Barcelona and the Teknon Medical Center.
In just a few minutes you can get to the Graciaquarter, a mixture of the old local population and new ethnic groups that creates an extraordinary atmosphere that will light up the night between restaurants and cafes on a terrace; a world of its own, away from the regular tourist flow, which through narrow alleys goes from Plaza del Sol to the Passeig de Gracia. Passeig de Gracia is the most important shopping area of Barcelona, an avenue that, between offices, modern architecture and 'tapas' bars goes through the Eixample and arrives to Plaza de Cataluña, from which you can go the splendid historic center of Barcelona walking on the ‘ramblas’.
Along the ramblas Barcelona becomes animated and reveals its visage as a cosmopolitan, dynamic metropolis together with the old cultural and commercial capital hidden behind the medieval walls of the fascinating Barrio Gotico and decorated by the creative genius of Antoni Gaudi.
The nearby Palacio Güell, majestic private residence of the Count of Güell, successfully outlines what will be the unmistakable style of Gaudi, a mix of elements in wrought iron and wood, Gothic profiles and Arabic architecture, mosaics in ceramic and glass.
In Barcelona, the imagination of Gaudi dominates the unreachable spires of the Sagrada Familia, the undulated forms that make the Güell Park something extraordinary and some buildings that have become a symbol of Catalan Modernism, La Pedrera and Casa Batlló.
Sant Jaume Square houses the political and administrative center of Barcelona and Catalunya inside the Casa del Ciutat and the Palacio de la Generalidad, near the Museum of the City of Barcelona, where advanced multimedia systems tell the city's glorious history.
If you want to relax, go shopping or try some of the many Catalan specialties in places like the nearby El Borne, a neighborhood influenced by the more modern trends and with a seductive Bohemian atmosphere, highly recommended for a lively and fun evening; during the day you can enjoy the extraordinary works housed in the Museo Picasso.
At the end of the ‘Ramblas’, passing the monument dedicated to Christopher Columbus, you will find the Maremagnum shopping center, an elegant complex with multiplex, shops, restaurants and the famous aquarium, which has the most important dolphinarium in Europe, which can seat over 1,500 spectators. Walking by the Old Port you will arrive in Barceloneta, Barcelona's beach, with restaurants and shops facing the sea.
